Our Battle Ground
I want to share a funny, yet inspiring story… I bet it will take some moment for you to realize how important the message of this story is…
About 6 years ago, my little brother was just 5 years old. He was handling a cone of ice cream one day and suddenly, he fell off the ground. Amazingly, he had the ice cream held up as he was stretching his arms against the ground. I can imagine his funny pose and I regret I’ve failed to file that for documentation haha.
What does this simple and funny story insinuate?
Last night during our BS in Guinobatan, this story just popped out in my mind, then I decided to share it with my brothers and sisters. I said, in life, we have a lot of choices. Many times we fall, but make sure that when we fall, we have saved something for ourselves. Like my brother who chose to save the ice cream instead of keeping his knees from bruises.
The same story applies with our option in serving our ultimate Master – God. Our greatest choice for the ultimate salvation.
We are living in an earthly life right? And we are living in a godly world, ruled by the so called “god of this world”- satan. Everyday, our faith is being tested by the earthly treasures that satan is giving (which God is allowing). Many times, we receive his treasures and forget that we have a Master who’s weeping because we entertain temptations. In such instances that we entertain satan in our lives, we apparently are not serving God.
This world is like a battle ground that we need to bravely cross. And as I always say, satan is our worst enemy. He uses money, fame, and all worldly things to keep us from getting closer with our true God. But we have healthy minds and most especially brave heart that will help us yield to the right decision. Now, how will you use such earthly things from satan to glorify God? How will you convert money and fame to wisdom? Which are you saving: your earthly life or eternal soul?

This is the first offline message that I have read this morning. It’s a message from my beloved sister (in faith) Ailene, who never fails to inspire people thru her everyday commitment on sending inspiring messages. I miss her, but PG for her life. She was used by God to help me “grow on a fertile ground”.
Ailene’s message has a lot to do with our everyday life. Every sunrise is indeed a chance to earn treasures that we will soon enjoy in heaven. Apparently, we are often misled by our earthly treasures. We walk astray and follow the “god of this world”- satan.
Yes, satan is the god of this world. Nevertheless, God is a lot more powerful than this enemy. God just let satan rule this world, but He assures that our enemy’s goal to destroy us will not be tolerated.
This world is like a warfare ground. And our worst enemy is satan. This enemy works hard to keep us from getting closer to God. And sadly, many are serving their enemy instead of God. In Luke 4: 1-13, it was insinuated that we cannot serve two masters at a time. Now, whom are you gonna serve, God or satan? Where do you want to go, heaven or hell? What are you choosing now, earthly life or eternal life?

knowing my PURPOSE in spite of........
We often feel inadequate for some things that we are doing.

I used to be one egoistic person who keeps on developing herself. I was a loner before.. I eat alone, go to the library alone, ride the jeepney alone..i can even stay alone in our house for one week straight. I have almost broken the cliche' "no man is an island" , because i walked my life alone, without God.. and i thought i've succeeded.. ....
Way back in college, i have lots of goals. Crazy thing, being an acoustic icon was included in my list of dreams. haha. It was one of my frustrations though. I have also attempted to establish a youth organization before, but due to insufficient financial resources, it was brought into an end. I was a consistent honor student from elementary to highschool (that seemed to be a tradition in our family), but when i graduated college, i earned nothing. These were some of my frustrations in life.
Frustration is one ultimate weakness that everybody's encountering. However, if God is in the middle of our entity, we will never be burned out. Because with Him, we are complete. In my case, i have lived with my "fraud purposes", which were enlisted by myself and by my ego. But today, it feels good to know that God lends me this life for the true purpose and not for crying over spilt milk (brought by my imperfections.) How about you? I have just read one of his articles today and it has amazed me so much. He seems to be a superhero as he can make one day to be equally as long as one week. He leads four ministry organizations. Speak in a daily radio show, daily video show, and weekly TV program. Every year he’s stirring up with 3 books, produce 4 video/audio series, and write more than 200 articles. He publishes 7 magazines, manage 4 websites, and send out online newsletter. He also leads a virtual community called the Kerygma family while overseeing an incredible “sales force” called Kerygma ambassadors.
He travels to preach 300+ times a year around the Philippines and in some parts of the world. Everyday, he does not fail to read and answer most emails from people who need his advices.Those are just few of his purpose- driven agenda in life.
Mr. Sanchez also has enough time and energy to manage his personal life. He runs a homeschool center to help parents learn how to homeschool their children. He also leads a financial consultancy organization to teach Filipinos about frugality. He operates small organic farms, real estate business, and other small businesses. He plays with his sons everyday and make sure that he’ll spend time at least once a week with her wife in a romantic date!
Wheeew.. it’s not over yet. He reads 3 books in a week, and listen to the same number of audio books, and browse through thousands of articles and magazines over the internet. By the way, he also hop a stationary bike an hour a day.
Time is so precious indeed. And Mr. Sanchez is one of the wisest people who manages this precious gift given by God. Life is too short. We should not waste our time and life with sinning right? Let’s invest our time to be one of God’s persons.
Praise God for the life of Mr. Bo Sanchez. God inspires us through him. Mr. Sanchez’ life is one evidence that we can do a lot of things, and see ourselves to be bigger than who we are.

I was an egoistic person before. All I know is myself. I always pat my back whenever I get compliments and recognitions. I can simply say that “my god is myself”. I never needed anyone because I can do all things alone. I forgot it that I had it all because of my… God. I have not realized that He was following me all along, until He called me. God taught me to do it all. He carried me. Now, he completes me.

Angel me
white lady? angel kaya....WOa0ah.. this account is sooo00o0 late...
This picture was taken almost two months ago during our christmas party. It was a costume party and obviously, my character was an angel. At least even for a night, i was a meek chibi. Everyone in the party really looked great. Different characters were portrayed: animes, superheroes, and fantasy icons were present. Their preparations were not that obvious you know. hehe. It was one enjoyable celebration and i never regret that i have attended.
By the way, during the party, our group has presented a number and guess what, i have played the guitar on stage. You may not notice me on this video but it doesn't matter. haha. Just listen hehe.. My sister ailene was really good at playing the drums. Listen to her too and be amazed. weeeee

I often believe that most things happen because they are bound to happen.
Whether we like it or not, everything and every friend (even enemy) that we have is destined to set off changes in our lives.
Our life has taken off even from the time when we traveled in a race inside our mother’s womb. Hehe.. The genes that we have now are destined to be brought about, through the union of the chosen pair of x and y cells.
Everything happens for a reason. We don’t have to ask because we just need to deal with every complicated circumstance that we are in. I can say that we have no power to change our destiny, but we have the capacity to take a better path towards that destiny.
We are always in a race with destiny. Noone is a loser. Whether we come first or last, what’s important is that, we reached the finish line. No frustrations though.
* When I was in grade school, I get annoyed everytime my classmates vote me for the secretary or sgt.@arms position. I am irritated because I always wanted to be the president. At a certain point from then, I stopped aiming for that coveted position. When I stepped on 6th grade, I was finally elected as the class president. Destiny is destiny. Even if I have stopped believing.
* I always dream of addressing the valediction while looking at the faces of my proud parents. I worked hard to gather all commendations and medals. I joined all contests, such as quizzes, essay writing, press conferences, and would you believe, even the slogan making contest and poster making contests too? I was also a varsity player (I know you won’t believe it because of the 5 flat me). With all these glory in my academics and extra curricular though, I was far from the top. I graduated with special mention award, at the 13th slot. My lucky number. So.. goodbye valediction.
* In college, I pursued my career in publication. I took the qualifying exam when I was a freshman. I ranked second and took a position in our college paper. 4 years later, I became the editor in chief and did my best to be the most effective one. Charus! However, in spite of all my efforts, the college dean used his power to take away the awards from me because of his cruel and biased intentions. Apparently and unfortunately, my last destination as a student was down at the bottom. No medals. No recognitions. And obviously, no special speech.
* I was frustrated for I didn’t ever have the chance to give it all back to my parents. I wanted to break down way back then but my sanity kept me from gripping off. I believed then that something great will come along. However, something more frustrating happened. My mom passed away. It was her destiny to leave at 46. It was like I had a wasted life then. The loads went heavier. All the hurt razing through me just made my whole entity numb.
THOSE WERE THE DAYS.. AND I HAVE MOVED ON..
DESTINY can be one of the sweetest dreams but on the other hand, can be one of the worst
nightmares.
Either a dream or a nightmare it is, I will always dare to sleep to make a unique encounter with destiny. I am willing to consider the limits and boundaries but I will always be open with my ability to break them. I am living for a reason. And I am eager to know what I am living for. I am not afraid of destiny, because the race will never be over until I reach the finish line.

CASTING CROWNS
Casting Crowns is a Christian band that employs a soft rock music style. This band garnered recognitions in the 2007 Grammy award and Dove Award. The group was created by youth pastor Mark Hall at First Baptist Church Downtown Daytona Beach, Florida. Mark hall is the lead vocalist. Casting crowns was discovered by music legend Steven Curtis Chapman, and eventually had their recording contract. The group vaulted to popularity in 2003 with their self-titled debut album, which has quickly made them one of the fastest selling debut artists in Christian music history.Mark Hall describes the band's work a ministry akin to what the world may call "preaching to the choir." Casting crowns' music, according to Hall, is a "ministry of discipleship", in keeping with "The Great Commission".
Casting Crowns members are currently ministers at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. The band plays there during youth service., where Hall frequently conducts prayers and speaks in front of the group on Wednesdays.

Greg Long, Melissa Greene, Jeremi Richardson, and Janna Long are indeed gifted with great talents. These people compose the contemporary Christian group called Avalon. Praise God for their powerful and inspiring voices! Their group has achieved multiple RIAA- certified Gold record albums. Amazingly, avalon has also scored 20 #1 christian hits. They surely got what it takes to share their God-given talents. Glory to God indeed.

Kutless
Kutless is one of the best Christian rock bands for me. God indeed showered them with talent to sing praise and worship songs that strike sudden pound in our hearts. For those who don’t know where the band’s name was originated, here it is:
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (NRSV).
From this verse, the band says, "He took our cuts for us... leaving us 'Kutless'."
As of December 2007, the Kutless has been preparing to record their next album that is slated for a summer 2008 release. If you are a fan,get into their site: Exclusive Kutless, now.

Though this band plays pop rock songs, I praise God for their inspiring acoustic/mellow version of 'heart of worship'. I play this song almost 20 times a day while working.
